For interested members of the UVA community: below we are summarizing the ways that input from staff leaders is being provided for use in both the appointment of an interim president and the search for the next leader who will serve as the 10th president of the University of Virginia.
Interim President Appointment Process Engagement
Members of Staff Senate's Executive Committee recently participated in a listening session with representatives of the BOV to provide staff’s perspective on the qualities and priorities of the interim president and summarize staff senate perspective on key themes.
Engagement with Search for the University's 10th President
Adam Richard, who served as Staff Senate co-chair for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 years, will serve on the University's Special Committee on the Nomination of a President.
Many individuals in leadership at the University and on Staff Senate have worked together over a number of years to build relationships and routines that enable Staff Senate leaders to contribute to the life of the University in meaningful ways. We appreciate the work of everyone involved and will continue to be committed to engaging as fully as possible.
