If elected, you will serve as the voice for your organizational unit and can really make a difference, not only for staff in your area, but for staff across Grounds. You will need to submit a short nomination statement in early May.

As a component of Cornerstone, two Staff Senators from UVA Law School and Student Affairs are working on a project with UPD to create and develop a Citizen Police Academy at UVA to strengthen the relationship between UPD and the community. Please take the survey below to provide your opinion of the University’s Police Department and its work on Grounds and the community.

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is pleased to be launching the Higher Education Program for Executive Level Assistants (HEPELA)! This 12-session program spans five months beginning October 2023 with each session being a half day.
This is an opportunity for EAs to explore a variety of personal and professional development topics such as Influence without Authority
The Staff Appreciation Breakfast is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7 from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. on the second floor of Newcomb Hall.
Breakfast will be catered by the Fresh Food Company - come for a sit-down meal or grab breakfast and/or a cup of coffee to go. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, and fruit will be served along with vegan and gluten-free options.

The 2022 Legislative Forum will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 12:15-1:15 PM in the Alumni Hall Ballroom. The event is open to everyone.
The Staff Senate Flex Work working group reviewed the results of the two surveys we sent out, one to managers and one to staff. We then compiled our findings into a Flex Work report, which has been shared with UVA leadership.
