Higher Education Program for Executive Level Assistants

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is pleased to be launching the Higher Education Program for Executive Level Assistants (HEPELA)!  This 12-session program spans five months beginning October 2023 with each session being a half day.  

This is an opportunity for EAs to explore a variety of personal and professional development topics such as Influence without Authority

Staff Appreciation Breakfast March 7

The Staff Appreciation Breakfast is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7 from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. on the second floor of Newcomb Hall.

Breakfast will be catered by the Fresh Food Company - come for a sit-down meal or grab breakfast and/or a cup of coffee to go. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, and fruit will be served along with vegan and gluten-free options.

The Staff Senate is devastated by the tragic loss of three UVA students and offer our condolences to their families and friends. Legislative Forum

Alumni Hall Ballroom

The 2022 Legislative Forum will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 12:15-1:15 PM in the Alumni Hall Ballroom. The event is open to everyone. 

Open Enrollment Begins Oct. 3

The open enrollment website will launch on September 7. Dates you can change your benefits for plan year 2023 are October 3 - 14, 2022. More detailed information will be coming soon.

New Teleworking Policy

Governor Youngkin has required all state employees who telework one day per week or more must return to in-person work per the requirements outlined in the new DHRM Policy 1.61 Teleworking effective July 5, 2022. For the University of Virginia, this applies to Classified Staff only.
